Today class is about drawing character in extreme angle with perspective. We learnt the technique of two point perspective and how to draw a character with correct scale in any place of a scene.

After the class, we went to the cinema and watched a anime movie called "PROMARE", which is made by the company called TRIGGER. It is a amazing movie, it performed excellently in all story telling, art style, character, music and core message. For the art style, it blended both 2D and 3D perfectly. The 2D art style is different from the main stream anime, the outline of character is so thin that it is almost invisible. Which makes all objects look like color block. Then, the 3D used a toon shader that made all objects look like color block. So, both 2D and 3D merge together well and  become a new form of dimension that audience will not want to differentiate them.
For the storytelling and art design, we found a interesting hidden element in it. The story is about the fight of normal human kind and human kind that can ignite. And the director used shape to differentiate them. All things related to normal human kinds are is rectangular shape, including building, guns, cars, water and ice. But for the human that can ignite, all things are in triangular shape. Including fire, dust, heart beat, clothes and bike. Because of the rectangles and triangles in the movie, all  object in the scenes are having shape edges. But in the ending part, the two kinds of human starts to cooperate. All objects started to become round shape. And I think it represent the two shape has merged together and there are no more argue and fight.
